Credit Union Acting President's Report

Spring 2009

With the coming of Spring, your credit union continues to change and grow. We are preparing, refining and testing the new services to be presented to the membership which includes our debit/checking and credit card programs. This year, I have taken on the role of Acting President replacing Mike O’Brien who resigned from the Board at the end of 2008. I want to personally take this time to thank Mike for his years of dedication and service to the Board. Under his tenure, our credit union has remained strong financially and continues to grow with new services being planned. Also leaving the Board after years of service, we say goodbye to Penny Adkins. Although both have left the Board, they will continue on as members.

We welcome new acting Board member James Metzer by virtue of his valued continuous support on the supervisory committee. Also joining us as a new acting Board member is the able and willing Randy Gaab. Besides our new acting Board members, Jennifer Cowans joins us on the Supervisory Committee in helping us to sustain the forward progress we are planning. The Board and I welcome all of them. Thru the June ballot vote of Board officers, I hope to confirm your confidence and participation in the credit union and our mission of service, “People Helping People”. With the coming of Spring, our credit union remains green, healthy and growing.
